At our core, we believe in encouraging everyone to dream big, aim high, and innovate for a better tomorrow. This year, one of our key initiatives challenged the community, businesses, and schools to envision what Franklin would look like 100 years from now. How do they see the future of Franklin?
The Year 7 students at Pukekohe Intermediate truly rose to the occasion, showcasing their amazing creations. Board member Peter Fa'afiu had the pleasure of reviewing some outstanding works. From Minecraft creations to models of Franklin and intricate drawings, Room 39 expressed their inner inventors and shared their visions for Franklin a century into the future. A total of 13 projects were presented.
After evaluating all the presentations, Peter awarded prizes in four categories. Congratulations to the recipients:
- Best Community Spirit Award: Logan, Joseph, Sam, Vann, and Sam K
- Most Eco-Friendly Town Award: Tyler
- Most Innovative Design: Gemma and Felicity
- Judges’ Choice Award: Izzy, Paige, and Cassy
Among that group were some future planners, engineers, technology experts, architects, urban designers, and CEOs! Great job to all the students at Pukekohe Intermediate! Your creativity and innovation are truly inspiring!
