We were thrilled to have the opportunity, thanks to the Noninvasive Ventilation team at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, to offer local high schools in Franklin a chance to tour their facilities and see the innovative technology they design and build.

On Friday, 5 September, 18 Year 13 students from Waiuku College’s Physics and Calculus classes travelled to the F&P Campus in East Tamaki. The visit provided valuable insight into how classroom concepts translate to real-world applications, while also showcasing the diverse career pathways available in STEM—from engineering and product design to research, data analysis, and healthcare technology. Students could see first-hand how their skills in maths and science can lead to meaningful careers that improve lives around the world.

The students were fully engaged throughout the visit, asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine curiosity about the company’s roles and technology. Teachers also highlighted how valuable this experience was for their students and expressed their gratitude.

It was a fantastic day filled with learning and inspiration, and we’re excited to continue connecting local students with career opportunities and future-focused insights in Franklin.
